Philippa, from Handsworth, is on the road following the release of her latest album, Come Back Fighting, and new single, Getting On With Life,

Since her first public performance with an acoustic guitar in 2007, Philippa has released five albums, a live DVD and has had two autobiographical books published, as well as notching up more than 1,000 live performances in 25 countries.

The Sheffield show comes as her cover of an Ed Sheeran favourite went viral.

The Christian singer’s performance of Sheeran’s Perfect has been viewed more than 15 million times since she recorded it a month ago.

An astonished Philippa said: “I still can’t believe a video I made alone in my dining room has been viewed 15 million times across two pages and shared by 400,000 people.

“It just shows you. God can use you right where you are, with what you have.”

Philippa plays The Plug, Sheffield city centre, on Friday, April 6. Tickets, priced from £11.50, are available from the-plug.com
