Hospital chef awarded Caterer of the Year

A city hospital chef said she is '˜proud and humbled' after being named Caterer of the Year.

Liz Hawkshaw, catering manager at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, was awarded the accolade at the Hospital Caterers Association forum.

The prestigious award recognises and celebrates the significant contribution that Liz has made to the wellbeing of patients, their experience and to the staff and visitors who use the services.

Liz, who has worked at the trust for almost 29 years, said: “I am both proud and humbled to have received the Caterer of the Year award which is one of the highest accolades in catering.

“I feel privileged to work for a Trust which encourages and supports its staff to go the extra mile for patients.”
