Sheffield city centre became a sea of red and white when fundraisers played Chase the Pud during an annual fun run.
More than 300 runners dressed in Santa outfits gathered in Tudor Square and the Winter Garden before pursuing a volunteer clad in a Christmas pudding costume through the surrounding streets.
As always, proceeds will go to the British Heart Foundation. Many of the Santas were survivors of cardiac conditions and many more were there to remember friends and relatives who had not been so lucky.
Lewis Elliott, 32, from Ecclesall, took part with fiancée Louisa Wallbridge because a close friend’s brother had recently died from a heart attack aged only 38.
“It makes you think,” said Lewis.
“I wanted to get involved, and I’ve raised sponsorship of £130.”
