Last chance to have say on plans to cut gritted roads

Consultation on plans to cut 100 miles of roads from Sheffield’s precautionary gritting route ends this week.

Residents and business owners have until Friday to have their say on the measures, which will also relocate or remove 400 grit bins and stop the recruitment of snow wardens.

The plans aim to save £100,000 a year.

Coun Jack Scott, cabinet member for environment, said: “We encourage everyone to take part in the consultation.”
