Major Sheffield road reopened after crash

A major Sheffield road has been reopened following a serious collision.

The crash happened on the A616 Stocksbridge bypass, near the Fox Valley shopping centre, yesterday evening at about 6pm.

The road was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident.

But Highways England tweeted that the road was reopened in the early hours of this morning. 

No further details about the crash have been released yet.
