A young man had to be rescued by firefighters when he got his head stuck in some railings early this morning.

Crew from the Central fire station were called to Viper Rooms on Carver Street, Sheffield city centre, at about 4.30am.

Crew manager Jo Hoare said: “His skinny brother was going in and out of the railings and we suspect he thought he could do it too.

“He was lovely, very polite and was just worried that we were going to arrest him!

“We told him he didn’t need to worry about that and we got him out with a mechanical tool which pushed the bars apart.”
