King, on a youth loan deal from high-flying Premier League side Leicester City, put the hosts ahead on the stroke of half-time.Jack Stobbs missed a penalty before George Thomas's 62nd minute equaliser.Wednesday, fielding a strong side consisting of Joe Bennett, Jose Semedo and Alex Lopez, made the early running, with Jon Centeno seeing his lob over goalkeeper Konrad Skuza agonisingly miss the target following a sloppy back pass by Aaron Phillips.Ryan Meadows was the first player to trouble Skuza but the midfielder's volley lacked the power and accuracy to beat the Coventry shot-stopper.The Sky Blues gradually grew into the contest and Ben Stevenson flashed a shot over before Phillips' looping header struck the crossbar after the hosts switched off defensively.Gael Bigirimana called Cameron Dawson into action in the 24th minute, seeing his curling free-kick from just outside the penalty area kept out.The visitors missed another glorious chance to break the deadlock through Thomas, whose downward header from close range was comfortably kept out by Dawson.Against the run of play, Wednesday broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time, King slotting home after Skuza spilled his initial effort. It came from good work on the right flank by Jack Stobbs.It took a superb last ditch clearance by Phillips to prevent Ryan Meadows from heading in Stobb's dangerous delivery to the back post.Coventry looked lively on the counter attack. Wingers Devon Kelly-Evans and Kyle Spence saw their teasing crosses go behind following good build-up play.Wednesday were handed an opportunity to double their lead just after the hour mark when Dion Kelly-Evans was adjudged to have tripped Ryan Croasdale. Coventry's players protested vehemently over the decision but the referee was unmoved.From 12 yards, winger Stobbs drilled his spot-kick over.Moments later, the Sky Blues equalised after a dazzling solo run by substitute Ruben Lamerias. His cut-back near the byline was prodded in by Thomas.Stobbs almost made amends for his poor penalty, with his volley forcing Skuza into a smart stop after a good spell of pressure from Wednesday.With 20 minutes remaining, centre-back Brad Beatson planted a header over when well-placed.It was Coventry who came closest to grabbing a late winner but Dawson produced a stunning save to tip Kyle Spence's right foot piledriver on to the crossbar.Neil Thompson's side kept pressing for a second and substitute Warren Clarke glanced Croasdale's pin-point cross narrowly wide in the dying minutes.George Hirst, the son of Owls legend David, volleyed over when it looked easier to score late on following great work by Clarke as the hosts were forced to settle for a draw.
