A OWNERS of a dog which vanished a month ago have issued an appeal for help in finding him.

Denise Allcock and Neil Britain, both aged 43, have not seen their six-year-old lowchen, Jake, since Tuesday, November 29, after he escaped from their garden in Sothall.

The couple started looking after the dog five years ago when Neil’s father died.

They have put posters up, walked the streets searching for their beloved pet and advertised his disappearance on internet sites, but no far they have failed to find him.

The couple are urging anyone who thinks they may have seen the dog to keep with him and contact them.

She said there have been some possible sightings, but one of the dogs they have repeatedly been told about at Waterthorpe has turned out not to be theirs.

There have been some other sightings around Westfield.

Denise said: “Four weeks is a long time without Jake and we are more worried than ever now. We desperately want Jake back home with us.”
