It’s already renowned as one of South Yorkshire’s most beautiful locations, but Langsett reservoir has taken on an increasingly festive look thanks to anonymous festive helpers.
One of the site’s pine trees has been singled out for special festive honours – with the tree bearing more and more decorations every day.
The attraction is a Christmas miracle for site warden Gordon Danks, who has no idea who is putting the decorations there.
Gordon, ranger at the Yorkshire Water reservoir, said: “The transformation has been quite remarkable, with more baubles, tinsel and decorations added every day. We’re not sure about the source of the decorations, or who has been doing it, but it’s been great to see and has helped to give the place a real festive feel at this special time.”
