NEW APPOINTMENTS: Barnsley's Albion Valves Ltd appoints quality manager

Barnsley-based Albion Valves Ltd has appointed Lee Petty as quality manager.

He will be tasked with focusing on quality in all areas of the business, which supplies valves and pipe fittings.

Lee, who is from Barnsley, has held a number of senior quality engineering roles before joining the Albion team, where he has been responsible for implementing continuous improvement strategies across a variety of businesses.

He will be working closely with the manufacturing plants to ensure they meet specific criteria and hold the most recent and appropriate product accreditations. He will also be working with Albion’s team of inspectors to review and test new products before they leave factory. In addition, the new role will consider Albion’s internal management systems, making quality more visible within the organization and formalizing processes and procedures.

Lee said: “This is an exciting time to join Albion. Their increasing reputation for excellence in the UK valves industry has really gained momentum in recent years, and my role will be supported by the team’s wealth of expertise.”
