A new funeral home has opened in Rotherham to serve bereaved families.
The Co-operative Funeralcare on Potter Hill in Greasbrough features a remembrance room, an arranging room and reception area.
The facility, which opened on December 29, has been decorated in warm, pastel colours in a bid to make the funeral home more welcoming and less intimidating for grieving families.
Funeral arranger Karen Samson has transferred from The Co-operative Funeralcare’s Armthorpe branch to provide her services to Greasbrough families.
Manager Shaun Varley, who has worked for The Co-operative Funeralcare for 28 years, said: “Opening up a funeral home in Potter Hill, Greasbrough, is a new venture for The Co-operative Funeralcare.
“This investment will help us to provide a high quality service to local people, saving families in the community having to travel to our nearest Co-operative Funeralcare homes in Rotherham, Edlington, Sheffield, Doncaster or Barnsley.”
