It’s all change at the Sheffield Telegraph this week - following the departure of Peter Kay, who held the role of the paper’s news editor for 25 years, writes reporter Richard Blackledge.
Peter – who worked for Sheffield Newspapers for a remarkable 40 years – will be much missed by everyone here, and I’m sure all of the paper’s readers will join me in wishing him well in the years to come.
I’ve stepped up to the role of the Telegraph’s news reporter, so I’ll be doing my utmost to make sure you carry on being delivered the stories you care about – from council developments to health, culture, property and the environment.
We’re often told the days of newspapers are numbered, amid a rapidly-changing media landscape, but there is clearly still a need for a publication which offers a weekly digest of all that’s happening in Sheffield.
