No further action over sex assault allegation on train near Sheffield

Detectives will take no further action after a complaint was made about a sexual assault that allegedly took place on a train between Sheffield and Chesterfield. 

Officers from British Transport Police were called in to investigate the incident, which allegedly took place on June 26 at 7.52pm.

In a statement, the force said two men were interviewed in relation to the claims but “after a review of all the evidence, officers have decided no further action will be taken.”
