The long-established paddling pools in the Rivelin Valley are due to be formally re-opened on Saturday after refurbishment.
They now include a Splash Pad with brightly-coloured areas of water jets and interactive features, along with a new filter system.
One of the pools has been kept for paddling, and it now has a wheelchair accessible ramp. Toilets have been improved.
Some of the funding has come from the Aiming High for Disabled Children initiative.
Council cabinet members and a representative of Sheffield Parent Carers Forum, which was consulted on the design, will be at the relaunch. Activity Sheffield will run a free session from 11am to 4.30pm.
