Pedestrian seriously injured in collision in Sheffield
A man is in hospital in a serious condition after he was struck by a car in Sheffield.
The 41-year-old was involved in a collision with a white Citroen C3 Picasso in Firth Park Road, close to the junction with Barnsley Road and Herries Road, Fir Vale, at 11am yesterday.
South Yorkshire Police said the Picasso was travelling towards Barnsley Road and Herries Road prior to the collision.
The driver, a 49-year-old woman, was unharmed.
Witnesses should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
