Hit-and-run victim’s courage recognised

A heroic teenager killed as she pushed her friend away from an oncoming car is to be honoured with a national bravery award.

Jasmyn Chan is to be recognised with an In Memoriam award from the Royal Humane Society for her ‘selfless courage’ on the day of the fatal collision.

The 14-year-old, of Frecheville, died after being hit by the car while crossing Normanton Hill, Intake, on the evening of May 9.
