Ideas for restoring Sheffield park shared at successful consultation event
Ideas for restoring a Sheffield park were shared at a consultation event.
The new Friends of Whirlowbrook Park group hosted the evening as part of their work to regenerate the park in its 70th anniversary year.
Member Maggie Girling said there were more than 50 applications made to join the Friends, while local councillors Colin Ross and Martin Smith attended.
She added: “We also had Grow - an organisation working with young adults with mental health issues, selling plants. They are very interested in using Whirlow for a new base to grow plants and help young people into employment."
The group held their first working session last night (May 26)
