MACMILLAN Cancer Support is looking for brave individuals to sit in a bath of maggots as part of Sheffield’s Fright Night Hallowe’en celebrations on Sunday, October 28.
The challenge is to share one of two baths in the Peace Gardens for 20 minutes, while trying to raise £100 in sponsorship. The last event raised over £2,300 for the charity.
Coun Peter Price, who has taken part for the last five years, said: “People living with cancer go through a lot worse than sitting in a bath of maggots.”
Macmillan fundraiser Rob Turner said: “This isn’t a challenge for the squeamish.” Contact him on email@example.com.
