THE going is about to get easier in the Rivelin Valley.
A steep and narrow part of a bridleway on Fox Hagg nature reserve is being widening and upgraded for the benefit of horse riders, mountain bikers and walkers.
Sheffield Wildlife Trust is working on the scheme that will help to create a Rivelin round route.
It has secured £5,000 from Viridor Credits Environmental Company, through the Landfill Communities Fund.
Robert Miller, of the trust, said: “It is hoped following the completion of the work that more people will be able to enjoy greater access to the wildlife and stunning views that Fox Hagg Nature Reserve and the surrounding area provides.”
Action is being taken to upgrade the bridleway after requests from the council public rights of way group and local users including Hallam Riders Group and the Fox Hagg Reserve Advisory Group.
