STAFF at a Sheffield pub stripped off in the best possible taste to raise money for Weston Park Hospital.
Strategically placed items preserved the modesty of workers at the Union Hotel pub in Nether Edge, who are featured in a calendar they are selling for £10.
The fundraiser was the latest idea of landlord and landlady Gareth and Sarah Williams, who have been collecting money for the hospital since Gareth, aged 36, was diagnosed with testicular cancer last year.
He was recently given the all-clear after chemotherapy.
Gareth said: “This year we were racking our brains thinking, ‘What can we do?’ So my wife suggested doing a charity calendar.”
“We’re all naked but there are things in the way, like beer pumps!
“Sarah did an American Beauty-style pose but with bags of crisps instead of roses.
“Some people have said they don’t know where to put the calendar but have bought one anyway!
“It’s so unique. I’ve never heard of another pub doing it. It’s done really discreetly and very well.”
Local photographer Bob Twigg took the photographs for free, while printing firm Pinders offered a special deal.
Gareth, who underwent 11 sessions of chemotherapy as well as surgery at the Northern General to remove his tumour, added: “Weston Park is brilliant. All the staff are great. They really care for you.”
