A BUSINESSMAN is offering a £10,000 reward to help catch thieves who stole tonnes of scrap metal and five vehicles in just one night at JST Used Motor Spares in Effingham Road, Attercliffe.

Jason Mallows, who lost stock worth £16,000, said: “Somebody must have seen something. The amount of stuff that was stolen would have taken hours to get out of here. I left work and locked up at 7pm then when I came back at 7am the next morning it was gone.”

The thieves cut through a heavy chain to get into the yard. “Obviously this has been done by people who know what they are doing,” he said.

The raid was between Thursday night and Friday morning last week.
