POLICE have formally named the woman who died in a two-vehicle crash on Crookes Road, near Roslin Road, in the early hours of Sunday, April 10 as 53-year-old Jill Creighton from Sheffield.
A family statement said: “She was a loving mum, daughter and sister and will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Her main priority was her daughter, who will now have a huge gap in her life and who will miss her mum dearly.”
She was in a Honda Accord travelling towards Crookes when it collided head-on with a gold-coloured Hackney cab.
The Honda driver, aged 46, from the Pitsmoor area, was arrested on suspicion of being over the prescribed alcohol limit and causing death by dangerous driving.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
