Service to remember HMS Sheffield dead at Cathedral

A service to remember the sailors killed on HMS Sheffield in the Falklands War in 1982 will be held at Sheffield Cathedral on Sunday May 4.

The event organised by the city branch of the Royal Navy Association will begin with a muster on the forecourt at 1.30pm.

The service will follow at 2pm and is expected to last about half an hour. Everyone is welcome.

Twenty seamen died when an Argentine Exocet missile hit the ship.
