Sheffield bankers get dirty to raise cash for hospice

Four bankers from Sheffield completed a 12-mile obstacle course to raise more than £2,000 for St Luke’s Hospice in the city.

Michael Cahill, Luke Mahoney, Martyn Thompson and Stephen Wicks, from the Yorkshire Bank Business Centre in Sheffield - took part in the Tough Mudder North West event, which tested physical and mental strength with obstacles including mud, 10ft walls, freezing cold water tunnels and 10,000 volt electric shocks.

St Luke’s Corporate Fundraising Manager, Joasia Lesniak, said: “Michael, Luke, Martyn and Stephen tested themselves to the limit and raised more than £2,000 for the hospice, which is fantastic, and I suspect that despite the tremendous challenges they faced, they actually quite enjoyed getting dirty.”
