Super middleweight Liam Cameron is the latest boxer to commit to the fight against cancer - and he’ll be getting a new hairstyle into the bargain.
The Manor Park puncher, whose next fight will be on September 5 in Sheffield, has been growing his hair for “many months.”
He said: “I have decided to keep growing it for a charity for cancer, and donate all my hair for a wig to be made.”
Posting on Facebook, Cameron said cancer had “taken my grandad” and also family of his partner Tanya.
“My goal is £1,000. I am not asking for a big donations just 50p/£1s. So please let’s get the ball rolling.”
Cameron’s sponsor Gcasino has allowed the fighter to take bucket collections at their Sheffield site.
