Sheffield charity changing its name to reflect partnerships

Gleadless Valley Community Forum is changing its name.

The charity, based at Newfield Green Library, in Gleadless Valley, will be changing its name to Reach South Sheffield from February. The name has been chosen to reflect its growing work in partnership with local agencies in other neighbourhoods including Batemoor, Jordanthorpe, Lowedges and Norton.

To mark the occasion, Reach South Sheffield will hold a launch event at the library on Tuesday, February 3, from 10am to noon.

Steve Rundell, chief executive at Reach South Sheffield, said: “It’s a very exciting time for the organisation, having recently secured a substantial Big Lottery grant.

“We hope the new name will help to keep the impetus going.”
