The show featured numerous princes, a pantomime horse, Widow Twanky and her son, and the King and Queen.

The Guides, aged between 10 and 14, chose which charity they wanted to support.

Juliette Tyack, aged 12, said: “I really wanted to choose Bluebell Wood because it is a local charity and helps poorly sick children.”

Rose Chenery, 12, added: “I am so glad we could do something for children who don’t have the opportunities that we have.”

The Guides had lots of fun during rehearsals, learning the songs and dances and trying on costumes. Those who did not want to perform were stagehands, and two of the Guides planned and taught the choreography.

Olivia Corke, 14, said: “It was really good fun and knowing the funds raised all went to a great cause made it even better.”
