A team of 16 to 24-year-olds from Sheffield has secured a grant to run an innovative project focussed on developing money management skills in their local community.
To be awarded the funding the group, called Mums and Money Management, submitted objectives and strategy for the project.
Its aim is to provide help and advice to young mums across Sheffield on budgeting, handling money and to provide simple information on how to reduce the risk of getting into debt.
The award comes as part of the Money for Life Challenge, a national competition now in its fourth year run by Lloyds Banking Group.
The challenge is focussed on helping young people in further education; training and community organisations acquire new skills while helping improve the money management capability of their community.
MAMM is one of 11 teams across Yorkshire and 340 across the UK to be awarded a £500 grant as participants in the programme.
