Sheffield MP raises concerns about developing on greenfield sites

Sheffield MP Clive Betts has raised concerns about developments on greenfield sites.

He spoke out in the House of Commons after another minister, Nick Herbert, claimed housing developers were ‘circling villages like hawks’ as they attempt to ‘pounce’ on greenfield sites.

Mr Betts said he had spoken to scores of community groups and parish councils.

“People didn’t feel in control of what was happening in their own areas,” he added.
