Sheffield mum's anger at Little Mix ticket mix-up

In December Sue Hewerdine spent £115 on three tickets to this Saturday’s concert at Sheffield Arena, for herself, her daughter Jasmine, 13, and friend Isobel Smith, 11.

She bought seated tickets on the arena floor, which she said she would ‘never normally book’ because when people stand up it is difficult to see the stage. But the seating plan for the Little Mix concert showed a secondary stage in the middle of the floor.

“I booked tickets right next to this, so that at least for part of the show we would have front row seats,” said Susan. “We were so excited about this.”

Last week Sue checked, out of curiosity, whether there were any tickets left.

She said: “I was stunned to see that the centre stage was no longer shown on the seating plan. This leaves us with tickets where we will not be able to see much.”

Sue, from Oughtibridge contacted the arena and was offered a refund, but was told the seating plan was the responsibility of the promoter, SMJ Concerts.

She said: “I am so angry that they can do this. Surely it’s false advertising and it’s very poor treatment of their fans.”

A spokesman for SMJ said: “Any seating/stage plans given out in advance of a show are always provisional and subject to change until the production has been finalised.

“In this instance, seats for a potential B-stage were held off sale when the tour was first announced but the decision was later taken not to include one and therefore these seats were put on sale and the seating plans updated to reflect this change.”
