Sheffield railway passengers show their support for Cavendish Cancer Care

Kind-hearted passengers at Sheffield train station have donated more than £450 to Cavendish Cancer Care.

Rail passengers and passers-by dropped plenty of change into the charity collectors’ buckets for the Sheffield cause, which supports local residents who are affected by cancer and their families.

The collection was organised by loyal supporter Josie Paszek. Volunteers from the centre stood in the station all day to collect donations – and even drummed up support by playing the station’s piano.

Fundraiser Jonny Cole said: “Thanks to all those who volunteered to shake a bucket and of course to those who donated.

“We are funded by the generosity of local people, and every donation helps us to continue our work.”
