Sheffield road closed after woman’s ‘unexplained’ death

A Sheffield road was closed after a woman died this morning - and her death is currently being treated as ‘unexplained’ by police.

Emergency services were called at around 9.30am to reports of a woman who had collapsed in Worrall Road, which runs from Worrall to Wadsely near Hillsborough, Sheffield.

The woman was then pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed while police examined the scene and carried out enquiries.

The death is currently being treated as ‘unexplained’ by police.

South Yorkshire Police said the road reopened at 7.30pm today (Sunday, January 11).
