Dustin Kohn will miss his 10th game of the season tonight, sparking concerns over his knee injury.
The Sheffield Steelers defenceman was ruled out of tonight’s Nottingham Panthers game even before Thursday’s 3-0 win at Dundee Stars.
An orthopaedic specialist has told him to him to take time off - he could be out a month. Forward Mathieu Roy will have a fitness test, says coach Gerad Adams.
But after the midweek shut-out, he said: “It was an improved performance in all areas. We played a much more simple game. We continually moved the puck north.
“Confidence and winning is contagious and that is what we have to do on Saturday. We worked hard on Thursday and again, that is contagious. When we work hard as a team we have success, it isn’t rocket science. For us to have success against any team we have to continue that work ethic.
“I guess I will see what the condition of Roy is then and we will make a decision on him then or even on Saturday morning. Kohn won’t play though.”
