Bannan has been selected by Gordon Strachan for the friendly with Czech Republic on March with Pudil in the opposition camp.

The call-up is Bannan's first in ten months and he could win his first cap in a year after coming off the bench in last year's demolition of Gibraltar.

Strachan has named two different squads for Scotland's two friendlies during the next international break.

Former Sheffield United forward Jamie Murphy could win his first senior Scotland cap in the friendly with Denmark.

Murphy said part of his motivation for leaving the Blades for Championship side Brighton and Hove Albion last August was to boost his international ambitions.

Other ex-Blades Matt Phillips and Kevin McDonald have been named as part of the squad to face Czech Republic.
