The Portuguese head coach has virtually a fully-fit squad to choose from as they look to halt a five-match winless run.

Fernando Forestieri, the Owls’ top-scorer, is poised to be restored to the starting line-up after completing a two-match suspension.

Several members of Carvalhal’s first-team set-up were left out of Tuesday’s goalless draw at Brighton and Hove Albion, including Jack Hunt, Michael Turner and Aiden McGeady. The trio will all be pushing for returns.

Defensively Liam Palmer, Glenn Loovens and Joe Bennett shone at the Amex Stadium, helping restrict the high-flying Seagulls to no shots on target.

Speaking at his press briefing, Carvalhal said: “It is good when I have headaches.

“If there was any justice, I would play all the players but that is not possible. Everybody is ready and I’m very proud of my players as they are doing well.”

Throughout the campaign, Carvalhal has demonstrated he is a big believer in squad rotation. He made five changes at Brighton as Wednesday recorded a second consecutive clean sheet on the road.

“In the second half of games, I think we are more fit than our opponents,” he said. “We have more energy in the second half of games.

“It is not a question of rotation. We are analysing the players all the time, checking to see if they are 100 per cent ready to play.”
