Sheffield Wednesday's Barry Bannan red card appeal turned down
Bannan was given his marching orders by referee Graham Scott following a tackle on his former Aston Villa teammate Eric Lichaj.
The Scotland international will now miss the Owls' Championship fixtures with Charlton Athletic, Huddersfield Town and Blackburn Rovers. Bannan, one of their stand-out performers this season, will next be available for selection on April 9 for their trip to Bristol City.

A statement on the FA website read: "A claim of wrongful dismissal in relation to Barry Bannan has been rejected following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing today."
