Sheffield's Support Dogs charity in fundraising boost

Sheffield-based charity Support Dogs has been chosen as the official '˜Charity of the Year' by three of Sainsbury's South Yorkshire based stores.

The Wadsley Bridge superstore and Sainsbury’s Local stores at Crookes and the Frenchgate Centre in Doncaster will all hold fundraising events and activities throughout the year in aid of the assistance dog charity.

Support Dogs trains and provides specialist assistance dogs to support children and adults with disabilities, autism and epilepsy.

Danny Anderson, fundraising manager at the charity, said: “We are delighted that Support Dogs has been chosen as Sainsbury’s ‘Charity of the Year’ in the five stores. We look forward to getting involved with some great fundraising activities over the course of the year to raise awareness of the charity whilst also having some fun.”
