South Yorkshrie mum's marathon trek '“ pushing baby in pram
A South Yorkshire mum is preparing to take on a half marathon '“ while pushing her baby son in a pram.
Keen runner Lindsy James, aged 37, of Moorgate, Rotherham, will be attempting to beat the existing record for the fastest female to complete a half marathon while pushing a baby in a pram.
The annual sporting event, known as the Ramathon, will take place on Sunday, June 5.
The hospice staff and volunteers provided care and compassion to Lynne and also to Lindsy, who was pregnant with her son Archie at the time.
Lindsy will be splitting the funds she raises equally between both charities.
She said: “I want to achieve this for everyone who is going through cancer and their family and friends.
“I’m excited and apprehensive as I’ll need to be stronger and fitter than ever. Archie will be nearly nine months old and at least a stone by race day. He is loving our training runs.”
Lindsy will be aiming to beat the existing record of 90 minutes and 51 seconds, set in 2001 in the USA.
