Strike at Shelter charity

Workers at homelessness charity Shelter will walk out on strike next week amid fears they are facing pay cuts of up to £5,000.

Advice and support staff at the Sheffield office on Furnival Gate are among 400 members of the Unite union who will strike for three days from next Tuesday.

The charity has put contingency plans in place to ensure the people who need their services are affected as little as possible.

The proposed pay cuts affect new frontline staff.
