I must make a special mention of Bristol brewery, Left Handed Giant and their 6.9% honeycomb and pistachio milk stout, ‘Woodland Creatures,’ which would be worth hitchhiking all the way to Bristol to enjoy. Just sublime.

Across the road at Shakespeare’s there’s a tap takeover from the folk at North Brewing Co. this Friday from noon. This highly-rated Leeds-based outfit will be showcasing the best of their cask range.

Kelham Island’s Riverside pub will be hosting a range of beers from Manchester’s Squawk Brewing Co. with seven cask and six keg lines on rotation throughout the week.

Friday and Saturday sees the launch party of new kids of the block, ‘Saint Mars of the Desert’ who are doing exciting stuff down at their brewery in Attercliffe. I’ve had a few of their beers and they really have been top notch.
