The burglary happened on Ringinglow Road overnight last Friday. Items taken included 20 musical instruments, an iPod and dock and cuddly toys, including a black and white cat called Jessie.

The teacher, who worked for the Sing and Sign organisation, had stored the items in a purple suitcase in the car’s boot.
