Thousands of spectators are expected at an annual mountain bike race in Sheffield this weekend.

Peaty’s Steel City Downhill race is back for its fifth year on Saturday, taking place in Grenoside Woods.

The aim of the event is to raise money to improve Sheffield’s mountain trails.

Large crowds are expected after over 300 racers and more than 3,000 spectators turned out last year.

The event is running from 9am to 6pm, with the first race starting at 11.30am.

Car parking is provided at Hallfield Head Farm on Woodhead Road.
