Tools stolen from vans across Sheffield

Thieves have stolen tools from vans parked across Sheffield.

One victim was working in a house in Jaunty Lane, Basegreen, when a thief stole £400 worth of tools from the back of his van.

South Yorkshire Police said the offender was seen in a black Vauxhall Corsa or Ford Focus spotted driving around the area shortly before the theft.

Police probes are also underway into the theft of tools from a van and a car parked in Dyke Vale Place, Hackenthorpe.

Tools were also stolen from vans in Fishponds Road West, Woodthorpe; Rushley Road, Dore; Gleadless Road, Gleadless Valley and Lightwood Lane, Norton.

A van was broken into in Birklands Avenue, Handsworth, but nothing was stolen.
