An electric car charge point has been installed in Broomhill.
The point, on Parkers Lane, is free to use and allows a car to be fully charged within three to four hours.
Coun Jayne Dunn, cabinet member for environment, recycling and streetscene at Sheffield Council, said: “The charging point in Broomhill is the first to be installed in the suburbs.
“Broomhill has a problem with air pollution, so it’s absolutely brilliant that they have decided to put one of the charge points in this area.”
A second charge point has also been installed on Carver Street in the city centre.
Rapid charge points were installed at Meadowhall last year.
