UPDATE: People evacuated from burning Sheffield industrial site

People have been evacuated from an industrial site in Sheffield which caught fire this morning.

Five fire engines from Sheffield Central, Parkway and Elm Lane stations and a turntable ladder are currently tackling the blaze at a unit in Newhall Road, Newhall.

The blaze broke out in the roof void of the building at about 8am and a fire service spokesperson described the building as being "well alight."

They added: "All persons are accounted for and were safely evacuated from the site.

"Road users can expect some local disruption."
