VIDEO: Adkins disappointed as Blades lose it late to Peterborough

Sheffield United boss Nigel Adkins admitted his disappointment at the manner of his side's defeat after the Blades went down 3-2 to Peterborough at Bramall Lane.

United had gone behind through Conor Washington's opener, though dominated for much of the first half and leveled through Billy Sharp's penalty.

Another fine long range strike from Erhun Oztumer had Posh in front again, but United got a deserved equaliser when Jack Baldwin headed into his own goal with six minutes remaining.

With the momentum with the home side it was they who would have been favourites to go on and then win the game, however just seconds after the restart, Martin Samuelsen skipped past a number of weak challenges to fire past George Long and give the visitors all three points.

Adkins said afterwards: "From my point of view, we're really disappointed. Make sure you don't go and lose it; we've got enough experience on the field of play. We keep talking about you are most vulnerable when you have just scored, it was a throw in on the half way line, we have got enough bodies behind the ball to deal with the situation and we haven't done it."
