VIDEO: Guillaume Desbiens suspension for 'slashing' confirmed
The Elite League Department of Player Safety have confirmed a one-game suspension for Sheffield Steelers' Guillaume Desbiens after being found guilty of 'slashing' against Coventry.
The incident took place on during Sunday's 4-2 defeat for Steelers at the home of the Blaze where Desbiens was assessed a Match Penalty
The penalty, which has been upheld by DOPS, carries an automatic one-game ban, which cannot be appealed against and Desbiens will miss Steelers' game with Fife on Saturday.

Hide AdBlaze defenceman Boris Valabik was also given a one-match suspension for 'boarding' after a clash with Jonathan Phillips in the same game. The original penalty had been given for checking.
