A man was reportedly ‘stabbed in the head’ outside a block of flats in Sheffield last night.
An eye witness told how there was an argument which resulted in a man being stabbed on the forecourt of a car park off Duke Street near the Park Hill flats at 11.30pm last night.
The man, who lives at the Park Hill flats, said: “There was an argument and a fight which made me look outside and then I saw one of them stab the other in the head.
“He had blood pouring from a head wound and he may have been stabbed elsewhere as well but it was difficult to tell.
“I called an ambulance but there were lots of people from the flats who went down to help him.”
Pictures sent in by the eye witness show a man lying on the floor covered in blood being treated by paramedics.
Police were also called to the scene and the area was cordoned off.
This latest incident comes after a spate of five fatal stabbings in as many months in the city this year.
In the most recent killing, 21-year-old Kavan Brissett lost his life several days after being stabbed in an alleyway off Langsett Walk, Upperthorpe, on Tuesday, August 14, just before 6.45pm.
