Volunteers are needed to help tackle city flood risk

More volunteers are needed to help reduce the risk of flooding in Sheffield.

The Riverlution Project is working on watercourses in Chapeltown, Parson Cross, Ecclesfield and Kelham Island to reduce flood risk – with organisers looking for more helpers.

The Environment Agency is working with the River Stewardship Company to remove blockages, and tackle invasive species.

Further sessions are planned in June and July.
