WEATHER FORECAST: Sheffield set to sizzle in 22 degrees C sunshine

Sheffield could sizzle in temperatures as high as 22 degrees C this week - positively tropical compared to the Beast from the East and the freezing spring so far.

The city is expected to bask in sunshine temperatures of 21 and 22 degrees C on Wednesday and Thursday.

The weather forecast for Sheffield this week - day by day:

Tuesday: Gusty winds and light clouds, highs of 15 degrees C

Wednesday: Sunny intervals and breezy, highs of 21 degrees C .

Thursday: Even higher highs of 22 degrees C with lots of sunshine and very little cloud cover.

Friday: Cooling off a little with highs of 19 degrees C but still with plenty of sunshine

Saturday: Sunny intervals and breezy, highs of 18 degrees C

Sunday: Sunny intervals and breezy, highs of 18 degrees C
